JDQ Systems Inc. has selected Neil Squire Society (Neil Squire) as the recipient of its latest 3Spheres of Reciprocity™ Initiative. Neil Squire currently uses a custom database application to connect client data with the complex information gathered in the course of performing assessments and generating solution recommendations. With an ever-increasing demand for assistive technology services, NSS has an immediate need to enhance their key business processes in the following areas:
- Remote support for its partner's in six locations outside the Lower Mainland
- Integration of multi-site data while enhancing security to protect confidentiality
- Enhanced reporting and analysis of consolidated case data
- New and expanded functionality for tracking activity, disability support solutions, client management and fee-for-service billing.
JDQ president Jon Morris will lead a team of volunteer business analysts in the definition of requirements for the case management and billing database application. Assistance will also include conceptual design activities and research into potential 3rd party applications to meet Neil Squire's needs. The support of VANTUG and IT Volunteering in the IT volunteer recruiting process has been greatly appreciated.
With the overall goal of better serving the needs of Neil Squire's staff, volunteers, supporters and funders, the requirements definition process will especially consider the needs of those application users with physical disabilities. During this 3 month project, JDQ will provide directorship with the same rigor as any other JDQ initiative.
”The Neil Squire Society and its partners in the Assistive Technology for Employment Network are thrilled to receive this valuable support from JDQ and its collaborators in the 3Spheres team,” says Gary Birch, Executive Director. “It is an outstanding example of how socially committed companies can contribute to growth and innovation in the non-profit sector.”

"The mission of Volunteer Vancouver is to inspire and build leadership in the voluntary sector. One of the ways the sector can build leadership is through the meaningful engagement of skilled volunteers-and in many cases, with the support of their employers. JDQ's innovative 3Spheres of Reciprocity program helps local organizations further their missions by taking a proactive approach to employer-supported volunteerism. We hope other businesses take notice." Colleen Kelly - Executive Director, Volunteer Vancouver
