JDQ wins big for TELUS
News Release: February 17, 2005
Once again transcending client expectations, JDQ has recently successfully delivered a $1.5M, IT project on time and on budget for TELUS, the largest telecommunications company in Western Canada and the second largest in the country.
Mobilizing personnel from nine divisions, this initiative delivered a capability to provide a consolidated view of the business customer which is required by the majority of TELUS’ enterprise applications and integrated business processes. The capabilities built were vital to and have already been used to execute new 2005 business strategies.
JDQ’s Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology was critical in the success of this project. Brent Fischbach, JDQ Principal and Project Manager for this initiative, explains it like this: “Organization of the project provided for staged releases allowing business benefits to be realized early and enabled other initiatives to leverage the value of its deliverables.”
TELUS Project Sponsor Su Ann Lim was extremely pleased with the outcome: “The team is commended not only for outstanding individual contributions but also for demonstrating national teamwork vital to building a very precise and complex capability that links a myriad of groups across the enterprise.”
