TELUS Launches JDQ-Designed Automated Bid Review Request Application

News Release: November 13, 2006

Once again, JDQ Systems comes through with the perfect solution for one of its long-term clients. TELUS Corporation, Western Canada’s largest telecommunications company and one of Canada’s "Big Two", has recently unveiled its latest JDQ-designed and implemented software application solution.

Created by the talented team of JDQ Principal and application designer Derek Shackelford, software developer Ian Smith and applications consultant Hilary Ostrov, the Automated Bid Review Request enhancement introduces work flow automation to a JDQ, custom, web-based, proposal management application that has become a "best in class" marketing tool for over 1,500 sales and marketing users at TELUS.

As a feature within the TELUS Bid Governance’s Bid Management Tool (BMT), this new Automated Bid Review Request will affect all Bid Governance stakeholders.

Erica Klassen, TELUS Business Analyst, says: "We launched another great new feature in the BMT. The success of this launch is mainly due to JDQ's efforts and diligence in meeting all the requirements right up to the last minute.

Thanks to these efforts we now have an automated e-Bid Request as well as an automated Bid Review Request. We've also made a major breakthrough with the iCalendar and I believe this is a first in TELUS.

I'm looking forward to working with the JDQ team on an ongoing basis and in particular the next big project scheduled for 2007."
